Kristiana's City Kids' Summer Tours

The Creative Movement Class is child-centered and uses colorful props, imagery and music to encourage children to express themselves through movement and physical play. Itsy Bitsy Yoga (newborn- crawling)
Itsy Bitsy Yoga is a compassionate, fun-loving and interactive program focused on deepening the bond between parent and child through yoga. Itsy Bitsy Yoga was created by Helen Garabedian an Infant Developmental Educator and Yoga Teacher. The program includes over 75 calming & nurturing yoga poses and rhymes that are developmentally nutritious for a baby from birth to 24 months and a parent. Kids Yoga (ages 3-11)
One of the greatest gifts you can give your child is the freedom to find their own sense of self. In Devotion Yoga's safe, fun, and inspirational environment, kids will learn to open their minds to creativity, imagination, well-being, and finding confidence in themselves! Our developmental curriculum honors yoga as its foundation and incorporates song, storytelling, games, creative movement, breath-work, and relaxation. Garden Street Music
Garden Street Music offers private piano, guitar, voice, violin, drums and bass lessons for children and adults. Our classes are designed specifically for the individual student and consist of music theory, technique, reading music, ear training, improvisation soloing, song writing and much more. We have classes for all ages, styles and levels. Styles include: Pop, Rock, Jazz, Blues, Classical, Opera, Folk, Funk, Bluegrass, Broadway, Contemporary, etc. Classes are taught by professional and certified teachers with degrees in music and sound recording. They are classically trained and have over 20 years experience sharing the stage and working with The Push Stars, Martin Sexton, Matchbox Twenty, Third Eye Blind, Dave Matthews, and Julian Lennon, to name a few. They have performed in Madison Square Garden, Carnegie Hall, and Lincoln Center. Song writing can be added to every class. We have special workshops and performances and offer our students an opportunity to record in our state of the art recording studio. The first lesson is half off! Hoboken Choir School
The Hoboken Choir School is a community-based youth choir program, offering a rich variety of experience through quality music education. Through this unique, free program, students between the ages of 7 and 16 have an opportunity to develop personal discipline and confidence in their individual talents. The Hoboken Choir School is now accepting applications for the 2005-2006 season.

Students receive professional choral training, free voice lessons, leadership skills, values formation and concert trips. No musical experience is necessary, only the ability to match pitch and produce a good choral tone.

Rehearsals take place on Saturday afternoons at 3PM at Our Lady Of Grace Church, 400 Willow Avenue, Hoboken.

Music for Aardvarks
Music for Aardvarks is a refreshing alternative to the traditional music class for kids. With influences of rock, blues, ballads, folk, jazz and pop, Aardvark songs uniquely reflect and celebrate the lives of children growing up today. The music is innovative, intelligent, and irresistibly appealing to both kids and their grownups. Our informal, spirited classes are geared toward children 3 months to 5 years old and incorporate singing, dancing, musical storytelling, instrumental jam sessions and more. It's an interactive musical experience that the whole family can genuinely get excited about!

Musicology
Musicology is a class where children and their caregivers explore traditional favorites and contemporary tunes together. It's about having fun while exposing your child to new sounds, rhythms, rhymes, and finger plays. Make no mistake...Musicology is not a sedentary sport. There's dancing, jumping, and shouting hooray, balancing, bouncing and instruments to play. We have scarves, bells, shaky eggs too, rhythm sticks, and bubbles just to name a few.

Details:
All classes are drop-in only. There is no registration, just show up. The cost is $12 per child, or you may purchase a Musicology Play Pak for $120 (buy 10 get 1 free). A sibling Play Pak is also available for $120 (buy 10 get 2 free).

Highly interactive, entertaining and educational puppet shows for children. The shows incorporate important social skills, early academics, thinking skills, motor skills, and self-expression. The music is fun and upbeat, and the children are encouraged to move to the rhythm, follow verbal instructions, practice sequential movements, and have a great time. The puppets are friendly and cuddly, bringing to life old bedtime stories or funny incidents that the children encounter in their daily lives.
