Camp Liberty

Since 1974, Camp Liberty has brought together children from all areas of Jersey City and introduced them to stories and activities from around the world. Each week during the summer, children from different neighborhoods with varying ethnic backgrounds join in a cooperative effort that develops respect for the traditions of other ethnic groups and a better understanding of the world's many cultures.
Camp Liberty offers such amenities as its own softball field, playground, multi-purpose field, basketball courts, handball courts, private in-ground pool, restrooms and changing areas, first aid station and a large covered pavilion area complete with a stage and tables for lunch, art, and rainy day activities.
This State certified camp begins its session on June 30 and runs through August 22. It goes for 4 two-week sessions, Mondays through Fridays, 9am-3:30pm, for children ages 6-12.

Deerkill Daycamp

Deerkill Day Camp is now offering Hoboken families a chance to pick up a new sport or hobby, learn to swim and form lifelong friendships this summer. This third-generation family business, located on a wooded 15-acre site, brings a community feel to the summer camp experience for campers age 3 through 14.
The program includes playing sports, taking field trips, doing arts and crafts, ceramics, woodworking, dance, theater, digital photography, tennis, and graphic arts, among other activities.
Deerkill is offering daily door-to-door transportation on air-conditioned buses, staffed with professional drivers and bus counselors. Pick-up locations in Hoboken are in front of the Path Station & at Prime Time Early Learning Center, 414 Hudson Street.
Deerkill is a third generation family business celebrating its 50th anniversary this summer. The Directors are on the camp grounds everyday and accessible by phone; there is no large administrative staff.

HDM is proud to offer students age 3-12 a complete summer curriculum taught by professionals who have honed their craft as performers and as educators. Kaplan Pre-School Camp

Join the Kaplan excitement in a safe, loving environment, air-conditioned rooms, and a spacious yard. Activities include art, music, movement, outside water play with sprinklers and most importantly having fun with friends. There is a special program for those entering kindergarten, which include group sports, weekly themes and field trips.
Kaplan is offering sessions that run from June 23-August 8. Current Kaplan students have priority with registration beginning in early April. You can sign up for any number of weeks for any number of days per week (at least 2 is required). Children should be between 2 ? and 5 year olds (can be entering kindergarten). The hours run from 9am-12pm or 9am-3pm. There is early drop off available at 8am for an additional fee.
Kaplan will also offer the 2 and Toddler class on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday mornings from 9:30am-11am. Also Toddler Friday's will be offered from 9:30-11:30am.

Fashion Lab is Hoboken's only day camp for kids & teens age 10-18 teaching fashion design & basic sewing.
Fashion lab will be split into two different age groups.
Students entering 5th - 8th grade ($289) will meet Tuesdays & Thursdays beginning June 17th, and students entering 9th-12th grade ($349) will meet on Wednesdays & Fridays beginning June 18th. Both groups will meet from 1-3pm. Each camp session will meet twice a week for 2 hours a day for five-week sessions.
Both age groups will focus on learning basic sewing skills, in addition to basic fashion design techniques used in creating some of today's cutting edge fashion designs. Each class will be project oriented and each student will leave classes with their finished wearable projects.

Summer Arts Camp: A half-day/ whole day program is offered for children ages 3-12 years. The camp focuses on and combines creative movement, dance, yoga, theater, music, writing, storytelling, drawing, painting, and sculpture. The goal of the program is to provide students with a well-rounded experience and exposure to the arts while nurturing individual confidence and expression.
Children may be enrolled in all or parts of the program in any combination of days. Children ages 3-4 may only enroll 9am-12 or 9am-1. Children ages 5-12 may enroll 9-12, 9-1, 9-3, or 9-5. The Camp runs from June 16-August 29. Costs run from $25-$60 per day. Early drop-off and late pick-up is available for an additional fee.
Summer Karate Camp: Summer Karate is available for current and new students. Students are learning Karate form Soo Bahk Do with Master Lou Legregin. Class meets on Tuesdays 4:30pm-5pm (3-4 year olds) or 5pm-6pm (5 years or older). Adults meet at 6:15-7:30pm. The program runs from July 8- August 26 and costs $104.

An exciting and fun program filled with all the creative activities related to putting on a musical theater performance. This unique flexible-schedule Summer Program allows you to attend classes whenever you feel like it. Simply purchase a Class Pass (multiple sizes available) and show up when it is convenient to your schedule.
You may attend as many or as few age-appropriate classes per week. Once you have acquired a Class Pass, you have no need to inform Super Soccer Stars when you are planning to attend. Children from ages 5-15 years can attend the camp. Camp includes day trips, swimming, art projects, sports and special event. Lunch and snack will be provided. Registration begins on March 4 and is on a first come-first serve basis.
Each two-week session is $315 per session. Day camp runs from 9am-4pm. Extended day care (8am-9am and 4pm-6pm) is offered for an additional fee of $75. Call for session information.
The YMCA also offers a Specialty Sports Camp Program for children ages 5-12. All Sports Camp takes place off-site, except soccer. The camp is one week long and takes place during each week in the month of July. The cost is $225 per session. Extended care is also available from 8am-9am and 4pm-6pm for $35.
Note that all camp participants need to be a member of the Hoboken YMCA. Youth membership costs $87 per child and teen membership is $97. It lasts for one year.
